The Chevrolet Avalanche combines the haul capacity of a pickup with the comforts of an SUV. Available in four trims, LS, LT, and LTZ, the Avalanche is a half-ton, four-door, full-size pickup, and holds up to six passengers. All Avalanche trims have a 320-hp 5.3-liter V8 FlexFuel engine with Active Fuel Management with a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include front seat and side curtain airbags, LATCH rear-seat child safety seat anchors, Stabilitrak with Proactive Roll Avoidance and the OnStar crash-notification system. All trims feature a unique fold-down rear bulkhead that accesses an enclosed bed. New features for are a USB port to every standard radio, the LT trim receives automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, power adjustable pedals, a remote vehicle starter and Bose audio speakers, and the LTZ trim adds an upgraded audio system with voice activated navigation and a rear-parking camera.
